The Elmira Heights Fire Department welcomes young men and women to apply for membership as active Junior
Firefighters. The Elmira Heights Fire Department believes that anyone within the community should have the
opportunity to step-up to the challenge of making the community a safer place to live and work, regardless of age.
Elmira Heights Junior Firefighters play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Heights Fire Department.
Some tasks include:
-Maintaining the apparatus, fire hose, and firehouse
-Assisting the firefighters with general house duties
-Being called to duty if and when disaster strikes the community
and becoming an important part of the Elmira Heights Fire Department family.
